Hey Brothers it's Registration time for the 2008 FOOLS Convention in Seattle, WA. The Puget Sound and South West Washington FOOLS have been hard at work to give you the best convention to date! Registration will be a little different than in years past. Our main goal with this convention is to reflect the core values of the FOOLS in our events. The itinerary is as follows:

All events below are included in the $160.00 registration fee except Go-Karts.

July 9th
· Arrive into Seattle. If flying in you will need to fly into SeaTac International Airport (SEA). It is a short cab ride to Downtown Seattle.
· Hospitality Night at the Convention Hotel Starting at 21:00.

July 10th
· Registration 10:00-11:00 and Grab Bag Pick-Up.
· 2008 FOOLS Grand Prix 11:30-15:00

· Opening Ceremonies 19:00-21:00 featuring Guest Speaker Bobby Halton.

July 11th

· Presidents and E-Board Meeting 08:00-10:00 at the Convention Hotel.
· Experience Seattle Day 10:00-1900.
· Closing Ceremonies and Awards 19:00-21:00.

July 13th
· Go Home!


Reminder

The cost of registration is $160. This includes all of the following…

· Opening ceremonies with guest speaker Bobby Halton, the editor and chief of Fire Engineering. Honor Guard Presentation, Pipes and Drums and FOOLS social.
· A day of FOOLish training with a little west coast flavor at the Washington State Fire Academy! This will include both hands-on and classroom opportunities. Transportation to and from the fire academy, as well as lunch will be included. This is the first convention to include a full day of training. We have rented out the academy and all classes are being instructed by fellow FOOLS.
· Seattle Skyline Evening Cruise. This is a 2 hour cruise on the water around Seattle.
· Downtown Seattle Pub Crawl. We will be downtown at the same time as the Seattle Fire Festival it's sure to be a great night of Brotherhood and Beer!
· Grab Bag including a 2008 Commemorative Convention Coin, Starbucks Coffee, and a 1gb thumb drive to exchange power-points, pictures, whatever...
· Closing Ceremonies and Awards Presentation to recognize those FOOLS chapters and members who have been selected by their peers for the contributions made over the last year.

2008 FOOLS Grand Prix

This is the only event with an additional fee of $20. We will be traveling to K-1 Racing which features tournament style racing with carts that travel up to 35mph with the winner being awarded the 1st place trophy and bragging rights for the next year. So come try and defeat the Reigning Champion Chad Berg. As Ricky Bobby says “First or Last!”
