Wow! The end of 2009 – really? It's hard to believe that we are now in a new decade.

With that said, over the past year we have been making progress on improving several areas of your FOOLS International website.

One of the biggest projects that is now completely finished is the local FOOLS chapter map. Not only is each chapter listed on the International site by state, but now when you navigate to your state we have developed an interactive map that displays our flaming globe FOOLS logo as your chapter location. Inactive chapters are still displayed, but with a gray flaming globe, in the hopes that they will form once again. Please take a moment to check the site to make sure that we have placed your chapter marker in the correct location. If it needs to be adjusted, send me a note and I will work on it with you.

Another project in the works is the development of an archive area for past Chapter News articles. This is still in process and should be completed in the next few weeks. It's important for us to promote what has been going on currently, and it's also important to show what the organization has done in the past.

The last project is a brand new FOOLS International Convention online store. After successfully installing and running our current online merchandise store, we purchased and installed a second store from the same company. This new Convention store gives us 100% control over the look and functionality for the annual FOOLS Convention registration. Our previous store had a limited amount of customization capability, along with a handful of problems that we just could not work around. In the coming months you will be receiving an email from the new Convention store. Once you receive this notification please follow the links to log in to your account. We were able to migrate all the past user accounts to the new store, but we were not able to get your password in to the new software, so by default the password will need to be reset. You can simply click on the reset password and follow the usual process to change it to what you would like.
